dxman [ Xt-Options ] [ -k expression ]
Description
The Man Page Browser displays man pages in a graphical user interface,
including hyperlinks to associated man pages.
Options
Xt-Options
The standard X Toolkit command options.
section
An indication of what section in the manual the keyword will be
found.
keyword
The item for which to search.
-k expression
Locates reference pages whose NAME section contains the speci‐
fied expression if the whatis database exists. The expression is
a regular expression.
Files
/usr/share/man
Standard location for reference page section directories.
/usr/share/man/man?
Section directories containing nroff source files for reference
pages.
/usr/share/man/cat?
Selection directories containing formatted files for reference
pages.
/usr/share/man/cat?/.z
Packed formatted reference pages (if any).
/usr/local/man
Location of section directories for site-specific or local ref‐
erence pages.
/usr/local/man/man?
Section directories containing nroff source files for local ref‐
erence pages.
/usr/local/man/cat?
Section directories containing formatted files for local refer‐
ence pages.
/usr/share/man/whatis
The standard whatis keyword database maintained by using catman.
/usr/local/man/whatis
The local whatis keyword database created and maintained by
using catman.
