idtype(1M)

idtype -- set or get kernel build type

Synopsis

idtype {type}

Description

One of the Installable Driver/Tunable Parameters kernel configuration tools, idtype controls the build type for the next idbuild(1M). This type controls which Driver*.o files are included in the build.

For each module, if, for any specified type, Driver_type.o exists, it will be used; otherwise Driver.o, if it exists, will be used. Types are checked in the order specified.

Usage

With no arguments, idtype displays the current build type. Otherwise, the build type is set to the indicated list of types.
